Define the question
Review the concern, water history, occupancy conditions and areas that could affect sample placement.
Air sampling when justified
A short-duration air sample is one piece of evidence from one location and time. Its value depends on the assessment question, sample locations, building conditions and laboratory interpretation.

Indoor air samples may be compared with an outdoor reference and with samples from other selected areas. The sample plan should follow the building history and field observations instead of applying the same package to every property.
A laboratory can identify and quantify captured particles, but the result does not locate every hidden condition and does not create a universal safe-or-unsafe verdict.
Planned process
Review the concern, water history, occupancy conditions and areas that could affect sample placement.
Record relevant temperature, humidity, visible conditions and limitations at collection time.
Collect the agreed samples with appropriate media and chain-of-custody documentation.
Explain the laboratory findings alongside the field assessment without a universal pass/fail claim.
